Bank Kalteng also provides UMKM Berkah Credit products to embrace micro, small and medium enterprises (UMKM) who have the potential to develop businesses, but have difficulty getting access to finance. With an interest rate of 5.5 percent (smaller than KUR/People’s Business Credit), this product is also a form of support for the Financial Services Authority (OJK) program related to credit against moneylenders, as well as a contribution to the Central Kalimantan and national government programs in efforts to restore the national economy.
Regarding loan interest, according to Yayah Diasmono, the value is fairly low. Because this UMKM Berkah credit is to help millennials become strong farmers and breeders. This credit product was officially released in October 2020 along with the launching of One Student One Account for 20,000 students.
“Still in the development of credit products, Bank Kalteng also supports the Shrimp Estate program developed by the Central Kalimantan Provincial Government in Sukamara Regency. In this case, the site plan has been assisted by Bank Kalteng. In this case, Bank Kalteng is ready to collaborate with the government, providing credit distribution for the development of Shrimp Estate, with the hope that in the future Central Kalimantan can become a supplier of shrimp for domestic needs,” he said.
There is also CSR assistance to the Pangka Raya City Government.
