PALANGKA RAYA – Central Borneo, now is grieving again in midst of Covid-19 pandemic. Today (Tuesday, 14 April 2020), one positive patient of Covid-19 reportedly die on 2:00 PM in treatment process at Dr. Doris Sylvanus’s Regional Hospital.
The sad news, was conveyed directly by the Governor of Central Borneo H Sugianto Sabran who is also as the Chair of the Duty for the Acceleration of Covid -19 Handling, to all of media crews, Tuesday (14 April 2020).
“The deceased was allegedly a local transmission of Covid-19, and was a pastor. Hopefully the family left behind, will be endured to facing this trial by God Almighty,” he said.
Separately, The Head of Health Office in Central Borneo Suyuti Syamsul who is also as the Deputy Chair of the Duty for the Acceleration of Covid -19 Handling, confirmed the information.
“Yes, the patient is male and he was 67 years old. But for other comorbidities, I don’t know exactly. Kindly ask directly to the hospital,” said Suyuti Syamsul to inikalteng.com, via WhatsApp.
Confirmed separately, the Director of Dr Doris Sylvanus’s Regional Hospital in Palangka Raya, Yayuk Indriaty, explained that the patient who died was the second patient who died from Covid-19 in Palangka Raya.
The first patient, was died on Wednesday (04 April 2020), around 11:00 PM. The deceased was a resident of Maluwen Village, Basarang District, Kapuas Regency. 74 years old, male, and has a history of travel to Gowa, South Celebes.
“Aside from being positive for Covid-19, this patient has other comorbidities. The accompanying disease suffered by patients, namely heart disease,” concluded Yayuk Indriati. (il)
