PALANGKA RAYA – H Sugianto Sabran Governor of Central Borneo has submitted the proposal for the Implementation of Massive Social Restriction (Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar or “PSBB”) in Kapuas Regency to the Indonesian Minister of Health, Wednesday (27/05/2020).
The proposal was made because Kapuas Regency became the regency with the second highest number of confirmed positive covid-19 patients after Palangka Raya, with total of 70 cases based on Central Borneo Covid-19 Handling Acceleration Force (Gugus Tugas Percepatan Penanganan Covid-19) as of 27 May 2020 at 3:00 PM.
“The Kapuas Regent has proposed to the Governor of Central Borneo to implement of Massive Social Restriction. The provincial government has conducted an evaluation of the proposal and has proposed it to the Minister of Health to implement of Massive Social Restriction in Kapuas Regency,” said H Sugianto Sabran.
According to him, the proposed application of Massive Social Restriction in Kapuas region was based on consideration that there had been a significant and rapid increase and spread of covid-19 cases accompanied by local transmission events.
The Governor of Central Borneo emphasized that the Regent of Kapuas should immediately prepare implementing regulations related to the implementation of Massive Social Restriction (Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar or “PSBB”) and always coordinate with the Governor of Central Borneo as the Chair of Covid-19 Handling Acceleration Force in Central Borneo.
“In the preparation, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of Massive Social Restriction, Covid-19 Handling Acceleration Force of Kapuas Regency always coordinates with the Governor of Central Borneo”, he said.
He explained, he would continue to provide facilities and full support for the implementation of Massive Social Restriction or “PSBB” in Kapuas. Especially Cash Transfers (Bantuan Lansung Tunai or “BLT”) from Budget of the Central Borneo Government.
“I understand that many people are affected by the economy because of covid-19. For that reason, I do my best continually in dealing with these impacts,” he said.
Not only that, the Governor also invited all parties to continue to work together to decide and ensure covid-19 passed from Bumi Tambun Bungai. (red)
